How it works
Clomiphene triggers the brain's pituitary gland to secrete an increased amount of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and LH (luteinizing hormone). This action stimulates the growth of the ovarian follicle and thus initiates ovulation.

Indication
It is used for some types of infertility, in women who are not ovulating properly.
When not to Use
Clomifene is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to Clomifene or to any of its ingredients.Clomifene therapy is contraindicated in patients with liver disease or a history of liver dysfunction.

Precaution
Clomifene Citrate use in pregnant women is contraindicated, as Clomifene treatment does not oer benet in this population.
Clomid Tablets Warnings
Warning 1
Patients should be advised that blurring or other visual symptoms such as spots or ashes (scintillating scotomata) may occasionally occur during therapy with Clomifen .
Warning 2
Clomifene therapy usually regresses spontaneously within a few days or weeks after discontinuing treatment.
Warning 3
The ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) may occur in patients receiving Clomifene therapy for ovulation induction.
